Printing

Undergraduate Lab Printing

Printers for 2nd and 3rd floor undergraduate labs in ECS are connected to UVic’s Papercut print accounting system. They are located in the central common areas on the 2nd and 3rd floor of the ECS building.

All undergraduate lab computers are preconfigured for students to print to the Papercut enabled printers. Teaching staff with offices on the 2nd and 3rd floor of ECS should contact itsupport@csc.uvic.ca to receive authorized print accounts.

Wireless printing is not available for ECS 2nd and 3rd floor printers. However, there are printers available for wireless printing in other buildings on campus (Student Computing Facilities in the Clearihue building, including the CALL Facility, the Business and Economics building and the Human and Social Development building).

ECS Research and Office Printing

Faculty, Staff and Graduate Students Department printers located in ECS on the 5th and 6th floors are available freely to Faculty, Staff, and Grad Students who are on the ECS wired network. Wireless printing requires authentication, you will need to have a COSI domain account (please email itsupport@csc.uvic.ca with your request. Grad students will need confirmation from their supervisor to have COSI accounts created for them).

Individual research labs are responsible for their own supplies of paper.

For those staff directly involved in teaching courses (ie. senior lab instructors), please contact itsupport@csc.uvic.ca to be set up for staff printing to the ECS 2nd and 3rd floor undergraduate Papercut printers.
