This Combined Program allows students to join their interest in Statistics with interests in Computer Science.
Students who would like to be admitted to the program should contact an advisor in either Mathematics or Computer Science for details.
Degree
Students in this program work towards a Bachelor of Science Degree as a Combined Major in Statistics and Computer Science
Unit/Department
Although students are considered to be equally part of both Computer Science and Statistics, the "home" department for students in this Combined Program will be the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, Faculty of Science.
Co-op
This program has an optional co-op component. Students in this program are able to access co-op placements from Computer Science and Math Co-op.
Career Options
Since Computer Science developed out of Mathematics the two disciplines enjoy a strong relationship. Disciplines with strong background in both areas include Bioinformatics, Psychology, the Design of Experiments in areas like Human Computer Interaction.
